The YDDC Mentors are the core team responsible for educating, mentoring, coordinating, and guiding the young doctors through the rigorous summer programs and Saturday academies.

The didactic component of the program, which includes lectures on diverse health topics (e.g., preventative healthcare, mental illness, etc.) are taught by the mentors. The mentors are doctoral students from the Howard University Department of Psychology and the College of Medicine. Mentors and the young doctors are supervised by the professional staff of young doctors DC.
